Case Study
There’s something special about bringing a traditional home up to date without losing the character that makes it unique. That’s exactly what we wanted to achieve with this rear extension and refurbishment in Hampton. The new extension introduces a bright, open-plan living space, with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden and bringing plenty of natural light into the home.
We kept a more traditional feel in the kitchen, with classic cabinetry, wooden worktops and a central island that gives the family plenty of room to cook and spend time together. The wooden flooring adds warmth throughout, while the original Victorian fireplace remains a lovely feature of the living area. It’s these details that give the property its personality.
What makes the finished home work so well is the balance between old and new. The contemporary extension provides the extra space and practicality needed for modern living, while the more traditional features give the rooms a sense of history. Nothing feels out of place, and that’s what makes this particular house renovation so satisfying to look back on.
